About Nicholas Knight

Nicholas Knight is an interior design and construction company with a focus on designing spaces and products for the BDSM scene.

We help kink lovers transform their spaces from day to play, creating everything from uniquely designed BDSM implements and furniture, to full interior renovations…but always with an eye for style.

We’ve added discreetly hidden hard points in a kitchen that accommodate kink play in suspension work, while a custom Nicholas Knight sectional “coffin couch” with a hidden compartment for restraining submissives. We can convert an entire room into a fully-functional dungeon, but done in a Mid Century Modern aesthetic, complete with hand-crafted oak wood whips and a tapered leg St.Andrew’s cross that Ray and Charles Eames would approve of. Or we can work with your existing interiors style, crafting bespoke furniture pieces that are as beautiful to display as part of your daily interiors in a way that may not belie their kinkier purposes. And we do all of this with the technical expertise to know how and where to configure installations safely, within code, and respecting building rules and regulations .

About Nicholas Pond

Nicholas Knight founder Nicholas Pond has over 20 years experience as a residential carpenter and home builder in Australia, which gives him decades of experience and skill regarding the needs of a homeowner. Addressing everything from essential structural safety to elegant style, Pond has created and built interiors for luxury mansions, designer lofts, and even high-end retail. A move to New York City in 2021 saw his business evolve, as Nicholas Pond became a NY licensed and insured (general contractor).

It was through his personal involvement in the New York BDSM community that Pond saw a lack of beautifully-designed setups for the kink scene, spaces that are functional, but not your stereotypical BDSM fare. Add to that the fact that not everyone in New York has access to (or the real estate for) a fully-outfitted dungeon. Play areas require space, a limitation known to many a New Yorker, so why not outfit a home that can transform for dual (or more) functions, or have fetish equipment elevated enough to display as part of your interior design? Pond seized upon the idea of everyday furniture that can transform into BDSM equipment and back again, items that are beautifully discreet when displayed, or flat packable to quickly store and transform a space from one use to another. And so Nicholas Knight was born.
